The Department of Botany was established in the year 1969. Biotechnology was introduced as a restructured (semester scheme) degree course in1999. The department has a Green house with a good collection of rare and medicinal plants.

1. B.Sc. Botany Main with Zoology and Chemistry as subsidiary subjects
2. B.Sc. Biotechnology Main (semester system) with Botany as core subject and Biochemistry as Auxiliary subjects
